The Daimler Double-Six was the upmarket version of the Jaguar XJ series. The XJ series was introduced in September 1968. The V-12 version was announced in July 1972, powered by a 5.3 L V12 engine. The car was presented at that time was the world’s only mass-produced 12-cylinder four door car, and, with a top speed “around 140 mph” (225 km/h), as the “fastest full four-seater available in the world”
In late 1979 the XJ was facelifted again, and was known as the “Series III”. The Series III stayed in production until 1992. Using the long-wheelbase version of the car, the XJ6 incorporated a subtle redesign by Pininfarina.
The offered car is one of the last Series III, produced in October 1992. It is in immaculate condition, finished in Gun Metal Grey with black leather interior and alloy wheels. Options are air-condition, sun roof and radio/cd player. There is a full service history of the 115.000 km, including a recent service and APK.
